S.EVE.N. - Serving Those In Need, Inc.

​S.EVE.N. has been successful in providing assistance to several families within the Maryland and Washington Metropolitan areas since 2009. Over the past several years, S.EVE.N. makes donations to a local women's shelter which assist them to feed over 4,000 families. S.EVE.N. assists families transition out of the local women's shelter into permanent housing.  S.EVE.N. provides funding to assist numerous residents receive software training and job training.  S.EVE.N. is proud to announce that we are now helping men who have found themselves on hard times, we have connected with and provide donations to the local men's homeless shelter.

 

OUR HISTORY OF GIVING

- We give back to the community by providing: Back to School Supplies, Thanksgiving Baskets, and Christmas Gifts

- We donate feminine products, diapers, personal hygiene products, and more to local shelters

- We donate to the UCAP Family Stabilization Program, a program that 1) help women transition out of the shelter into permanent housing, 2) provides computer training, 3) provides job training and more

- We serve as a liaison to families with the goal of connecting them to resources and programs that will aid them in becoming self-sufficient

- We provide clothing and hygiene products to the homeless

- We are proud to announce that we have connected with a local Men's Homeless Shelter in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

So many of us have been fortunate enough to provide for ourselves and our family. However, there are those who are not so fortunate; some have lost jobs with no money coming in to pay bills or feed their family. Below is information regarding Food Distribution Centers, please pass this information on to anyone you know who might need food.

 

FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS - 

 

Prince George's County

The Department of Social Services' Emergency Food Assistance Program acts as a clearinghouse for the distribution of donated food. Over 30 local community pantries and shelters currently participate in the program. All food is provided to eligible individuals and families free of charge. Please call 301-909-6343 to get information and assistance within your particular area of the County.

 

Montgomery County
